Redeem a gift card or code on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

 

1. Open the App Store app.
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Today.
3. At the top of the screen, tap the login button or your photo.
4. Click on Redeem Gift Card or Code. If you don't see Redeem Gift Card or Code, sign in with your Apple ID. Learn what to do if you forgot your Apple ID.
5. Click "Use Camera" and follow the on-screen instructions. If you have an old card or are in certain countries or regions, you may not be able to retrieve the card using the camera. Click “You can also enter the code manually,” then follow the onscreen instructions.

• If you have an App Store and iTunes gift card, enter the 16-digit code, beginning with an X, from the back of the card.
• If you have a promotional or content code, enter the code on the back of the card.

6. Click Done.

Redeem a gift card or code on your computer

1. On your Mac, open the App Store.
2. Click your name or the login button in the sidebar.
3. Click "Redeem Gift Card".
4. Click "Use Camera" and follow the on-screen instructions. If you have an old card or are in certain countries or regions, you may not be able to retrieve the card using the camera. Click “You can also enter the code manually,” then follow the onscreen instructions.

• If you have an App Store and iTunes Gift Card, enter the 16-digit code, beginning with an X, from the back of the card.
• If you have a promotional or content code, enter the code on the back of the card.
